As the Vice Director for Noeun POLY, I am committed to providing a wonderful and happy place where students can develop their English language skills. I have 2 years of experience teaching English and got my TESOL diploma in Vancouver, Canada. It is an honor and privilege to have the opportunity to educate and instruct some of the brightest young minds in Korea while working with great teachers. I hope to inspire and motivate the students to their potential here at Noeun POLY.

Hello, my name is Enrique Zavala, and I am from Adelanto, California. I graduated from California State University San Bernardino with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice. Before coming to Korea, I worked for the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools at the Desert Mountain Children Center. There I would help with events for the students. During my time there, I acquired skills on how to work with children and ways to handle behavior. Working with the children, I discovered a passion for helping others and changing their lives for the better. In my free time I love being around friends or playing sports. I have played soccer since the beginning of high school and even played for my university’s soccer club team. I also love to learn new cultures and try lots of different foods. I am excited to begin my teaching career here at Noeun POLY and to help change the lives of the students I teach.

Hello, my name is Derek Pak and I am from Orlando, Florida. I graduated with a Bachelor's in Business, but my passion is people. When it comes to teaching, I always strive for constant and never ending improvement with myself as well as with my students. I always try to make what I do enjoyable, because learning is much more effective when you are having a good time. I am very practical in my approach to being the best version of myself as an educator to better serve my students. POLY has given me the opportunity to make English speakers out of my students, and make it fun for everyone.

Hello! My name is Joy and I am thrilled to have joined the Noeun POLY team. This is my second time teaching in South Korea so I look forward to creating new memories with my students here at POLY. I am from Northeast Los Angeles in California and graduated from California State University, Los Angeles with a degree in Liberal Studies: Directed Elementary Subject Matter Teacher Prep. I have also been certified to teach English as a Foreign Language and English as a Second Language by Oxford Seminars. I have volunteered my time by tutoring school-aged children from various poverty-stricken neighborhoods in East Los Angeles because I believe every child deserves compassion and the chance to learn and grow within the world of education. In my free time I enjoy traveling the world to learn and appreciate other cultures. I am excited to be living in South Korea again and look forward to the new adventures that await me here in Daejeon!

Hello! My name is Sandy Hakiza and I am so happy to have been given the opportunity to come and teach at Noeun POLY. This is my first time in Korea and so far it has been absolutely wonderful. I have always loved working with children and have been involved in summer camps and Sunday school from a young age, so although teaching is a new experience for me, being around kids definitely is not. I am from Ontaria, Canada but travelling and experiencing new cultures has always been a passion of mine. I graduated from McMaster University in June, 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences and I hope to pursue a career in medicine in the future. As for now, I am excited to be here and to share my knowledge with my wonderful students.
