I fell in love with being around with children when I taught kids in many different academies.     Hi, my name is Andrew Szumilak. I am from Winnipeg, Canada. I majored in Filmmaking at the University of Winnipeg, and pursued a film career for over five years in the film industry as a film technician. I began my teaching career in South Korea in 2014, and have been teaching for POLY ever since. I am eager to begin my fifth year teaching at Gwangjin POLY. I hope we can all share enjoyable experiences learning and make many fun memories together here at POLY.

    Hello! My name is Katherine Griffith. I am from Iowa in the United States of America. I studied Elementary Education and English as a Second Language while I was in University of Norther Iowa, and have started a few classes in a Master’s Program in Education online. I have been teaching English for about 10 years now to both children and adults. I enjoy baking, watching movies, and visiting new places. I hope my passion and experience for English will make the future of Gwangjin POLY Students brighter and more enjoyable.

    Hello, my name is George Cupa. I am from Ontario, California. I received an M.A. in Social Science with an emphasis in applied statistics from the University of California, Irvine. In my free time, I enjoy surfing, skating, and training in martial arts. I first came to South Korea in 2017 to teach at Eunpyeong Poly. I am excited to begin teaching at Gwangjin Poly. I like to bring laughter to the classroom environment to make English fun and exciting. I hope to build strong relationships with my students and fellow teachers.

    Hello! My name is Megan March and I am from Wisconsin in the U.S.A. I studied Art and English at Union University in Tennessee. I enjoy languages, knitting, singing, and reading. I have lived in and around Seoul, teaching children for the past six and a half years, and have worked with a wide variety of ages and abilities. I’m really looking forward to finding my place as part of the Gwangjin POLY team! In my time here, I hope to foster curiosity and build relationships with students, so they can have a fun and comfortable place to learn English and grow into kind and thoughtful global citizens.

    Hi, my name is Esther Frank. I am from the United States, and I have an English B.A. from the University of Utah. My favorite subject has always been English, since my favorite hobbies are reading and writing. My other hobbies include visiting art galleries, watching movies, and discovering new restaurants.
